Indoor Pickups have limited availability and longer lead times. If possible, move your appliance to an outdoor location and schedule an Outdoor Pickup for faster service. Otherwise, proceed with Verify Eligibility & Schedule. You will be asked to sign a damage waiver before our team can remove the unit inside the home.
Customers who have an electric account with LG&E or KU can schedule for no-cost appliance recycling. We’ll provide pickup, handling the recycling process at our facility, and give you a $50 rebate for participating.

LG&E and KU Appliance Recycling Program
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- You must have an active electric account with LG&E or KU at the address where you schedule the pickup.
- The refrigerator or freezer must be approximately 10 to 30 cubic feet in size, empty, defrosted and able to turn on.
- You may recycle up to two refrigerator or freezer units per year per account.
- Side-by-side refrigerators are considered one appliance and eligible for one $50 rebate.
